As per the simulated scenario, armed terrorists attempted to infiltrate a train, triggering an alert among the stationed security personnel. Without hesitation, teams from the local police, anti-terrorism units, and bomb disposal squads activated immediate countermeasures.

Execution of Security Protocols

The exercise, coordinated between district administration, disaster management departments, and law enforcement agencies, aimed to test the protocols for neutralizing potential terrorist threats. Simultaneously, at Kathgodam Railway Station, panic ensued when reports surfaced about three armed intruders on Platform No. 1, actively unloading fire on the crowd. The situation escalated rapidly, leading to three injuries among civilians before the security forces swung into action. A cordon was immediately established, allowing for effective search and rescue operations.

Security personnel, including the Special Task Force (STF), SDRF, and bomb squads, arrived at the scene promptly, seeking to secure the area and ensure passengers' safety. An exemplary effort was made by the commandos, who engaged in firefights with the terrorists. Ultimately, one assailant was captured alive, while another was shot down, and the remaining terrorist was found injured. Notably, bomb disposal teams successfully located and defused a bomb that the attackers had concealed.
